We Have Big Plans For 2014! Can You Help Us Make Them Happen?
What a fantastic year 2013 has been! Another Countryside Initiative Farm, The Trapp Family Farm, got up and running; we educated 600 people about food and farming; over 200 people gathered to trade homemade goods at Countryside Local Food Swaps; 300 people formed new connections during Local Food Akron Mixers; over 230 children enjoyed educational activities at Highland Square Farmers' Market; and we celebrated Northeast Ohio's bounty at 56 farmers' markets! None of this would have been possible without your support. Click here to find out what we are planning for 2014, and how your continued support will make it happen.
Countryside Winter Farmers' Market in Session!
Winter isn't just about potatoes. (Although, have you tasted homegrown potatoes? They're delicious!) Visit Countryside Winter Farmers' Market from November - April to find plenty of salad fixings to go with your traditional root vegetables. Plus: homemade pasta, artisan breads, handcrafted cheeses, local jam, beautiful holiday gifts and hors d'oeuvres, sweets, and so much more - all from local farmers and producers. We're at Old Trail School from 10-1 on select Saturdays - view the complete schedule here.
